Unfortunately, to avoid confusion and maintain a similar pace for all students, we kindly ask that students purchase Windows computers.
Do I need a printer?
No, purchasing a printer is optional and is not necessary for completing our Computer Basics with Small Business Marketing course. Students may use their printers to print documents, flyers, and other files they would like.
What is Microsoft 365 and Why do I need it?
Microsoft 365, also known as Microsoft Office, is a software program designed to create different files and documents using a variety of its applications such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. For the Computer Basics with Small Business Marketing course, we will be using Microsoft Word to create documents and Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets.
What general specifications are needed for my computer?
To ensure quality, we ask students to purchase a computer that follows these general specifications:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 Operating System
- 8GB to 12GB of RAM
- 128GB to 512GB of Storage
- Higher storage options do not impact service, but may cost more
